StockAppraiser Version 1.1 (C) Dacris Software Inc. www.dacris.com --- 1. Disclaimer --- This software can be used to estimate the fair value of a specific stock or stock index / ETF. This software does not provide financial advice. You should use it only as a rough guideline as part of a broader investment strategy. We do not, in any way, guarantee that the returns or risks estimated by this software are accurate or will manifest. Dacris Software will not be liable in any way for losses resulting from decisions taken based upon the output of this app. Please consult with a qualified financial advisor before making your investment decision. 2. Usage --- It is very simple. Use the input boxes on the left to enter the stats for your stock or stock index / ETF. You do not need to enter "$" or "%" signs in the input boxes. Enter just the numbers. After you have entered all of the stats on the left (all inputs are required), you will see the valuation stats on the right. The app can estimate not only fair prices, given your expectations, but also future returns if you were to buy at the current price. Anytime you update a stat on the left, you will see a corresponding change in the stats on the right. You can also save or load appraisals. Your appraisal can be saved as a JSON file. 3. Limitations / Future Enhancements --- We use earnings and dividends to compute total return over a period of 10 years, assuming a certain future P/E ratio. You may also want to look at the following stats: ROIC, free cash flow yield, and dividend payout ratio. These are not covered in this version of the software. There are websites out there that can give you these stats. From the author: This is the main software I now use when I do valuation estimates on stocks. It is based on some Excel spreadsheets I started earlier in 2022. The approach of looking at future 10-year total real returns is the most appealing to me. There are other ways to value stocks, such as based on DCF analysis. For completeness, I have included links in section 4 of this document, listing sites that offer free stock valuation or can assist with stock valuation. As always, it is good to get a second opinion on stock valuation. Don't rely on just one source. I use this software mainly for quick screening. 4.
